Things they don't tell you about ..... raising boys!

1. Look before you step - especially around the toilet area.

Little (and big) boys are not the best at aiming! I don't know how many times i've had wet feet after a late night bathroom visit 🙈 i've now mastered the fine art of sitting down without my feet touching the ground. Talking about toilet, they also don't understand that when they finish a loo roll, they can actually take it off the holder and put a new one on. Mind blowing.

2. Taking over your tv to play playstation, xbox or watch youtube.

What is it with boys and gadgets? I really don't want to sit in my living room watching you play fortnite or some youtuber unboxing something when you have a tv in your room?!?

3. Never ending supply of Lego.

Lego can be a good thing, boys love to spend hours building different things with it, but why do you find it everywhere? Plus i am guaranteed to step on it at least once a day.

4. Make sure you have an endless supply of food.

Mine go through so much food, they always want something. Food's ready in 5 minutes! Oh i'll have to have a biscuit because i can't wait that long i'm starving!

5. Potty talk happens. Just go with it.

6. No more lazy weekends

Nope! You now have football, rugby, cricket, boxing and whatever else they decide to take up.
Standing in a field in the freezing pouring rain watching you run around is exactly what i like to do on my days off 😭

7. They are busy bees.

They don't like to sit still. They like to play fight with each other, kick a ball around the living room or just walk around the house flossing!

8. You will make a trip to A&E.

They have no fear. They love to climb, jump, balance, run, skid along the floor in new trousers and turn us into nervous wrecks in the process.

9. They strip off anywhere.

I'm forever going around the house picking up items of clothing that they have just taken off and left on the floor, it's something they don't grow out of because Jamie does the same!

10. They are mummys boys.

My boy's are definitely mummy's boys and i love it! They are so loving! Until your son pushes you away
Hug him every single day -more than once. Tell him you love him. Share with him how proud you are of him. Give him attention. All the love you shower on him not only builds his confidence, sense of self worth, it will reflect in the way he will love when he becomes a husband and father 💙
